The History of the Memphis Fellows

The Memphis Fellows program came into existence in 2005 due to the vision of Kem and Norma Wilson. Their son had participated in the Fellows program at Falls Church in Virginia and they wanted Second Presbyterian to have the privilege of hosting its own Fellows program.

Since 2005, the Wilsons have given generously of their time; they’ve offered their homes for dinners, retreats and hunting trips, and have organized fun activities such as evenings at the Grizzlies and Redbirds. With Kem and Norma’s leadership the Lord has been glorified in and through this program.

We have 18 Fellows classes and 150 alumni of our program. Nearly half of our recent alumni have chosen to still live in Memphis and are leading lives that seek to glorify the Lord through their work and personal ministries. Recently we started a Memphis alumni network to offer our alumni opportunities to still be part of the rich Fellows community and to continue to grow and learn.
